Book Cake  ·  For a graduation, make a book cake. Press a 3/4-inch layer of Cake-Shaping Clay into the bottom of a round pan. Form a small indention where you would like the spine of the book to be. Position your finger vertically along the spine and move towards the edge of one of the pages, forming the largest indention towards the center of the "page". Repeat until you are happy with your inverse book shape. Spray the clay and pan with cooking spray, and pour cake batter to a level about 1 inch above the highest portion of the clay. Bake until done, loosen the cake from the sides of the pan, and invert the pan.
